Uninspiring fare at Witherspoons

Witherspoons on Piccadilly Gardens is like any other witherspoons pub really it is. I had lunch there today with a veggie freind. he had a half of Carling and the veggie burger with salsa and chips, I had a bottle of Copaberg pear cider and the Place and chips, this cost us an astounding £11-08 and the food was just not quite satidfying. I mean it was two meals for £6-99 but I had expected better. the batter of the fish was slightly soggy and the plate looked like it needed a good home. In all it was a pretty uninspiring feast and I needed a Mars Bar to satisfy my huner after it...... Boo Hoo

I HATE TRAFFIC WARDENS

What does this have to do with punk rock? NOTHING other than my car broke the law whilst parking at Morrisons in Eccles. Parking without a ticket parking attendant number cs301 slapped me with a thirty pound fine (60 if not paid within 28 days and 90 if not paid within 3 months). I hope that parking attendant number cs301 is pleased with itself. The photos were pinched by me from Salford councils parking fine payment website, and in some way I am stealing their copyright.

Killing Joke Manchester Academy 06/10/05

Killing Joke were Awesome last night, I have a stinking hangover and am drinking Resolve Extra like a man possessed by a really bad hangover. I would write more but I can't be bothered and all you need to know about last night is the fact that Killing Joke were amazing and it has resulted in me having a hangover from the very pits of hell. My mouth also feels like squirrels were having dog sex in my mouth.

Oh yeah and if the twat that wanted me to throw an empty can of carling into the crowd reads this then please go and do something that will cause you significant bodily harm.

Incoherent Ramones Rant

Johnny Joey and Dee Dee are all gone and they are getting more media attention than they ever got when the band was going. Marky Ramone has thankfully stopped embarrassing himself with the latest incarnation of The Misfits, but more insidious things are afoot....

The relentless rehashing of the Ramones back catalog has started with the release of the Weird Tales of the Ramones, Ramones shirts are being sold as a fashion item in major high street retailers. Sod that I almost punched some bloke for pointing to my Ramones shirt and saying "well they are not going to reform now hah hah hah" a week after Joey died, and now the same guy is wearing a brand spanking new Ramones shirt. I hope it remains in pristine condition so people can point and laugh at him for years to come.

Worse than that the whole music press who criminally ignored the Ramones during their lifetime is running articles on them almost constantly (I am aware of Irony on some level here as I am typing this). As a Ramones fan I am fed up with this and the way that CJ has been written out of the official ramones site note how his name does not appear on the front page. I am not too bothered about Richie's name not being there even though he is in my opinion a better drummer and songwriter than Marky, anyone remember "Somebody Put Something In My Drink".

Anyhow it appears that the Ramones history will be written by Marky, Tommy and a whole host of onlookers and parasitic journalists rather then the band. The last Ramones purchase I made was End Of the Century which is that last thing on the band anyone should buy, lets not contribute any more money to the Marky Ramone Retirement Fund please.

Years ago in the early days of the internet I published my personal homepage called "Pishing Up A Close", which is to be the title of my autobiography. My intention at the time was to take an irreverant look at everything I am interested in, which is just about everything but mainly music and beer. Now I am revising the concept in a vain attempt to earn extra cash from the main loves of my life by becoming a pretentious journalist of sorts and this is possibly the easyest way of starting to get my work published as at the end of the day I am a lazy swine.

Everything that made "Pishing Up A Close" Great will be brought back to life which was not that much really. So here it is yet another bloody punk rock blog, with other stuff thrown in.............
